About Professor Anthea Rhoda

Professor Anthea Rhoda is the Dean of the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences, at University of the Western Cape. She holds a BSc in Physiotherapy Therapy, a BSc Honors Physiotherapy in Neurology, a MSc Medical Sciences (Rehabilitation) and a  PhD in Philosophy. In the area of Health Professions education she focuses on Faculty Development, Inter-professional Education and Student Success initiatives. Professor  Rhoda facilitates developing a critical mass of academics who can drive these initiatives. She further engages in developing evidence in these focus areas through the implementation of a number of research projects and publications. Prof Rhoda is also known locally and internationally for her work in Stroke Rehabilitation. She has published extensively in the field and is a C2 NRF Rated researcher. She is currently contextualizing a Self- Management Programme for individuals with Stroke for the South African context.
